Ranking the highest goalscorers of all time in the UEFA Champions league

The UEFA Champions league is one of the most competitive leagues in the top five European leagues. Different teams have qualified to the round of 16 stage of the competition and some teams have also been eliminated out of the competition.

 

Football teams including Manchester United, Ajax, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Liverpool have all qualified to the last 16 stage of the UEFA Champions league this season. Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Atalanta, AC Milan, Leipzig and Sevilla have all been eliminated out of the competition.

 

Sebastian Haller is currently the highest goalscorer in the UEFA Champions league this season with 10 goals, Robert Lewandowski has scored 9 goals for Bayern Munich and Mohamed Salah has scored 7 goals for Liverpool so far in the competition.

Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo is the top goalscorer of all time in the UEFA Champions league history. He has won 5 UEFA Champions league titles in his football career so far.

Ronaldo has scored 140 goals with 48 assists in 181 matches in the UEFA Champions league. He has played for different clubs in the top five European leagues including Real Madrid and Juventus.

Lionel Messi is the second highest goalscorer of all time in the UEFA Champions league with 125 goals with 41 assists in 154 games. He spent more than a decade playing for Barcelona and won 4 UEFA Champions league titles with the Blaugrana.

He's currently playing for PSG and has been highly impressive with the Parisians in the UEFA Champions league this season.

Robert Lewandowski has scored 82 goals in 102 matches in the UEFA Champions league. He's one of the best strikers in the world and he came second in the 2021 Ballon d'or ranking. Lewandowski won the 2020 UEFA Champions league title with Bayern Munich. The Bayern Munich striker has scored 9 goals in the UEFA Champions league this season.

Karim Benzema has scored 76 goals in 135 matches in the UEFA Champions league. He's one of the best strikers in football history and he has remained highly consistent this season. Benzema has won 4 UEFA Champions league titles so far in his playing career. Raul Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Thomas Muller and Thierry Henry are all among the highest goalscorers of all time in the history of UEFA Champions league.

Thomas Muller equalled Henry's goal record in the UEFA Champions league. Muller has scored 50 goals in 130 games in the competition. He was in the scoresheet during Bayern Munich 3-0 win over Barcelona in the group stage of the UEFA Champions league this season. Thierry Henry scored 50 goals in 112 matches in the UEFA Champions league
