"Not Better Than De Gea," Arsenal Fans Disappointed By Leno's Performance Against Vienna

Arsenal kicked off their Europa League journey to Poland with a trip to face Austrian side Rapid Vienna in Group B match opener played at the Allianz Stadion.

The Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta seemed to be focused on getting the campaign with all

three points as he named a very strong starting eleven to try and seal the group as early as possible.

However, playing away from home has never been an easy task in Europe and the game against Vienne proved so.

Despite dominating the first half, Arsenal were looking the most likely side to concede thanks to the quick transitions their hosts offered on the counter break.

The same transpired in the second half only this time an error at the back would leave Arsenal chasing the game.

Of all people, goalkeeper Leno made a howler of a pass to Vienne's striker Fountain who

then without hesitating fired the ball into the net past Leno's legs and give the hosts a deserved lead.

In reaction, Arteta brought on Aubameyang in place of a frustrated Nketiah and the arrival of the captain amplified

the attack with Arsenal equalizing in the 70th minute thanks to a bullet header from David Luiz.

Minutes later, Aubameyang made it 2-1 after a tap in from Bellerin's ball but on social media everyone was talking about Bernd Leno.

We all know how good Leno has been for the gunners but in football every mistake seems to swipe away all the good things you've ever done before, De Gea and Kepa can agree to that.
