Nigerian house of representatives kicks against school resumption

The Nigerian house of representative has condemned the resumption date of all schools in Nigeria that's to hold today being Monday 18th of January despite the rising case of Corona virus
According to the speaker house if Representatives , he said the federal government did not seek their attention before announcing the resumption date, when preventive measure haven't been put in place before setting resumption date .
So the house of representative are demanding immidiate postponement of all tetiary institution both primary and secondary Schools in the country at large 
Ihonvbere in a statement on Saturday he issued at Abuja, he stated that on behalf of his members and committee his condem Monday 18th resumption date that was proposed by the federal government
Part of the statement reads, “The Committee on Basic Education and Services, House of Representatives, has received with concern the decision of the Federal Government to reopen schools on January 18, 2021.
“We were dearly concerned about the infection rates that was  around 500 and  schools were closed, but now that the infection rate varies from 1000 and above daily, schools are being reopened. Why are we in a haste to resume academics activities whereby preventive measures haven't been put in place , we shouldn't risk the life of our children all in the name of school resumption
