The federal universities have been shut closed since 23rd March due to both COVID-19 and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) industrial action.
Just last week, the federal government shift downs to meet the demands of ASUU, and following the system, the union are to met other stakeholders to conclude on the latest offer from the federal government.
During the week, the union have met with some of it members to discuss whether calling of the ongoing strike after the proposal from the government.
The following Tertiary institutions under ASUU have taken their stand on the latest offer issued by federal government;
√. Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) - Accepted the offer.
√. University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) Accepted the offer.
√. University of Calabar (UNICAL) Accepted the offer.
√. Umaru Musa Yar'adua University (UMYU) Accepted the offer.
√. Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) Accepted the offer.
√. University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) Accepted the offer.
√. Benue State University (BSU) Rejected the offer.
√. University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) Accepted the offer.
√. Micheal Okpara University (MOUAU) Accepted the offer.
√. Federal University Dutsin-ma (FUDMA) Accepted the offer.
√. Federal University Lafia (FULAFIA) Rejected the offer.
√. University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) Still deliberating.

UNIPORT will have also denied rejecting the federal government offer.
It has now 12 Federal institution reports of their stand after the latest offer from the federal government, and out this 12 Tertiary Institutions,
9 institution has accepted the federal government offer and are ready to begin academic activities,
and 2 have rejected the federal government offer, though they have said anything solid, as they ask the negotiating to succumb if need be.
Uniport have not stated their very clear yet.
