Ban Nightclubs, Prostitution, Other Social Vices in Rivers State

Rivers State Governor, Barr Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has banned operation of nightclubs, prostitution business around Casablanca area of the State.

The governor also announced ban on other activities that bring socal vices to the society in his new year message for residents of Rivers State. 

Governor Wike directed the security operatives in Port Harcourt to go after all illegal oil refining sites along Creek Road and other adjourning areas in the city. He also directed all local government chairmen to work with community leaders to locate and identity all those involved in oil bunkering in the state.

Barr Wike directed four local government chairmen in Port Harcourt city; Ikwerre, Obi Akpor, Eleme and Oyigbo to impound and remove any trailer, truck or vehicle parked on the streets after 48hours to achieve free flow of vehicular movement. 

As a way of making sure residents comply with the policy, Governor Wike directed security operatives to arrest and prosecute any violator.
